Terms of use

These terms cover your use of Videospeichern. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, the correct response is simply not to use it.

What the service is

Videospeichern takes a link to a publicly accessible post on one of the platforms listed on the platforms page and returns the media attached to that post as a file: video as MP4, sound as MP3, photos in their original size. It is a technical convenience, comparable to the save function already present in your browser, and it is offered as it stands.

It works only with public posts. It never signs in to a platform, cannot reach private or protected content, and does not handle paid or copy-protected media.

Free, without an account, financed by ads

The service is free and needs no account. It is financed by advertising shown on its pages, as described in the privacy policy. Nothing is stored for you: there is no library, no history and no copy of the files you download.

Acceptable use

You may use Videospeichern for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • use it to obtain material you have no right to copy, distribute or republish, or otherwise to infringe anyone's rights;
  • attempt to reach private, protected, paid or copy-protected content;
  • run automated bulk requests, scrape the service or try to work around its rate limits;
  • probe, overload or interfere with the service or the infrastructure it runs on;
  • present Videospeichern as your own service or imply an endorsement that does not exist.

Your responsibility for what you save

Copyright in a video, a photo or a recording remains with its rights holder. Downloading a copy does not transfer any right to you. You are solely responsible for deciding whether a given download, and any later use of it, is permitted where you are, and for the consequences if it is not. The platforms' own terms may also restrict how their content may be used.

Availability

The service depends on systems operated by the platforms, which can change or become unavailable without notice. Videospeichern is therefore provided without any promise of uptime, completeness or continued availability. Individual platforms or features may be paused, and the service may be modified, limited or discontinued at any time.

No warranty and limitation of liability

Videospeichern is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the applicable law allows. Liability is excluded for indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.

Trademarks and independence

The names of the platforms Videospeichern works with are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used on this site only descriptively, to say which platforms the tool works with. Videospeichern is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any of them. No platform logos are used.

Copyright complaints

Rights holders who believe their rights are infringed can send a notice with the form on the copyright page. How notices are handled is described there.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated as the service develops. The current version is always the one on this page, and the review date at the top shows when it last changed. The operator's contact details are on the imprint.
